Before I begin this writing, I have to give a special and HUGE thanks to Dr. Thurman Fleet, Dr. Peter Goldman, Dr. Mike Fitzgerald, and the Concept-Therapy Institute. It’s their work that I am explaining here. “Everything is just concepts in action”. This is a quote I heard from my good friend and an AMAZING teacher, Dr. Peter Goldman, DC. Of all the writings I am going to do on all these different subjects, I believe this is the most important. If you can grasp this concept, you can create whatever kind of life you would like for yourself. So let’s get into it! A concept is simply “a general notion or idea; conception.” In all of our minds are certain IDEAS or CONCEPTS about life. Some of these have served us well, while others have not. If you’re not sure as to what concepts you have in your mind, just take a look at where your life is right now.
Are there certain areas that make you happy? Are there other areas that need some work? It’s your concepts about these different subjects that are creating your reality about them. For instance, let’s say we had a young woman who had the concept that all men are cheaters in relationships. Maybe her father left her mother for another woman at a young age so all this woman heard about from her mother was how bad men are, they cheat, lie, steal, etc. As an adult, this woman might face some very serious problems in relationships as she has this negative concept about men. Based on this negative concept she’ll be prone to attract more cheaters into her life as that is what she is focusing on, and she will either not see or will repel any good men she comes across. It won’t be until she addresses and replaces this old negative concept with a new positive one that her life will improve. I’ll give you an example from my own life. I grew up around a lot of crazy neurotic women. What do you think I unconsciously attracted to myself when I got older? You guessed it, crazy neurotic women. It wasn’t until I went back and changed my old concepts about women that my relationships really improved.
So how does it work?In all of our minds, there are two main sections; the conscious portion of our minds and the subconscious portion. The conscious portion of our mind does two things;
1) It acts as an originator or selector of our thoughts and
2) It acts as a filter or buffer between the outside stimulus we receive and the subconscious portion of our mind. The subconscious portion of our mind controls things such as our bodily functions; heart-rate, breathing, circulation, etc. and it’s also where our beliefs, habits, and memories lie. Now, it’s been said that over 90% of what you do is subconscious. You drive to work the same way every day, put your pants on the same way every day, and brush your teeth the same way every day, so it’s important to impregnate your subconscious with ideas that you would like to see manifested in your life.
Now how do you do this? As I said before, the conscious portion of our mind acts as the originator of our thoughts. It is the king of the mind and the subconscious is its servant. Whatever ideas you give your subconscious, whether good or bad, it will go to work on creating for you. You could be broke, poor, and sick while reading this but if you start to give your subconscious mind ideas about health, wealth, and success, it will go to work on creating this new reality just as it would if you kept feeding it your current thoughts. What I am going to say next is very important so I want to emphasize it, YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS CANNOT DISTINGUISH BETWEEN WHAT IS REAL AND WHAT IS FALSE. Regardless of where you might be in life right now, if there is a better life out there that you want, start affirming to your subconscious right now that it is yours and your subconscious will go to work on getting it for you.
Now let’s explain in-depth how you can go about doing this. Let’s say for instance you would like to create better health in your life. What you would need to do first is to form an idea or image of what better health would like for you. You would then concentrate your thoughts upon this new image until this new image would go from the conscious portion of your mind to your subconscious. Your subconscious which controls things like your habits, beliefs, and body, would then go about manifesting this new idea in your life. Here are some pictures that will help to express this whole process. The first gives you a general idea of how everything works. It shows that the person has selected a new idea, concentrated their thoughts upon this new idea until it has formed a concept in their subconscious mind, and that concept is now being expressed in their body and life.
The second image shows how someone could select an idea of “Perfect Health”. They would then concentrate their thoughts upon this image by deciding things like; how they would look, feel, what they would eat, how they would sleep, how much exercise they would need and so on. This new image would then be sent from the conscious portion of their mind to their subconscious which would then go about manifesting it in their body and life. 
What Is Happening on a Physical Level
On a physical level when you’re concentrating on a new idea, you’re literally forming new neural pathways and brain clusters associated with this new way of thinking. That’s why it’s often said it takes thirty days to develop a habit. What is happening is that this new pattern of thinking is being formed in your brain on a physical level. For those of you that are into the law of attraction and The Secret, as these new brain clusters form, they are constantly vibrating right below the conscious surface and are attracting to you people, things, situations, and events that are in alignment with that vibration. This is going on non-stop twenty-four hours a day until the day you die. That’s why it’s so important to impregnate your subconscious with things you want in your life. It’s like putting your mind on twenty-four hour autopilot to bring them to you.
How Long Does It Take?
The amount of time it takes for your idea to manifest depends upon two main things which are belief and emotion. The more belief you have in a new idea, the more emotion it will generate and the faster this new concept will be implanted in your subconscious. I’ll give you an example. Virtually everyone reading this knows exactly where they were when they heard about September 11th. Why is that? It’s because the event was so emotional for all of us that it immediately became lodged in our subconscious. If there is an idea you would like to have manifested in your life, but are not really sure if it is possible, start visualizing and feeling the feeling as if you had it right now. Even if you have very little belief in it as first, the emotion that you are generating from this new belief will do two things; 1) Through the law of attraction you will begin to attract experiences that match up with your vibration and 2) Your subconscious will start to become impregnated with these new thoughts and emotions. As you build up your belief more and more, the idea that you have will grow in strength and clarity, and your subconscious will go to work on creating it in your life.
Negative Thoughts
When you are planting these new positive concepts into your subconscious, please do not sabotage your work by saying things like “I don’t really think I can have that”, “This is not possible” or “Why don’t I have it already?” Don’t sabotage the good work you were doing moments ago. You don’t want to plant these negative seeds in your garden as they can grow, take root, and choke the rest of the plants that live there. A lot of times people will say things like “I could never afford that!” or “I could never do that!” And they’re right! They could never do or afford that because there is so much emotion and belief behind these negative affirmations that it overtakes any positive work they are doing. Talk to yourself the same way you would talk to a baby, best friend, or someone who is sick and needs a hand. Tell yourself how awesome you are, how great you are doing, how you can do that and can afford whatever you like. Also, please be patient with yourself. Some things might take longer to manifest then you thought. Don’t sabotage your good work by saying, “How come it’s not here already?!?!?!” and throwing yourself into a negative state. Remember, you’re attracting to you things that match up with your vibration so be calm, patient, and grateful that it’s on its way.
How to Create a New Concept
There’s a variety of ways to create a new concept. One of the easiest is imaging. Imaging is basically using your imagination to create an image in your mind, and then focusing on that image enough until it becomes fixed in your subconscious. Let’s say I want to get into better shape. I can first start by creating in my mind exactly how I would look if I was in better shape. After that I can decide on things like how much I would weigh, how I would feel, how I would act, how I would sleep, what I would eat, and so on. I would then draft up some affirmations (see this link if you’re unfamiliar with affirmations) to reinforce my new image and keep my self-talk positive and strong. Having done this I would then come up with a plan to achieve my new body. By the way, sometimes coming up with a plan is not necessary. Once I wanted to manifest a new girlfriend. I simply sat down and began seeing myself with her and repeating my affirmations to myself. Almost instantly (within one hour), I got a message from a beautiful woman I hadn’t spoken to in years asking me if I would like to see her.
After you have your images and affirmations, sit down and visualize for at least a minute or two how you would look, feel, and act if your current reality was happening right now. Remember to really add in some emotion with it as the more emotion it has, the faster it becomes lodged in your subconscious. I say to concentrate for at least a minute or two a day as it has been said that it takes on average 33 seconds for a concept to become lodged in someone’s subconscious. As some people have minds that tend to wander, I ask you to focus for at least a minute or two to make sure it really gets in there. After you finishing imaging, I then want you to say your affirmations to reinforce the good work you’re doing.
Sometimes simply saying affirmations are enough to create positive results as the words you are saying are creating new beliefs and images in your mind. These new beliefs will cause you to take new actions which will lead to better results for you.
Please make sure that as you go throughout your day, the self-talk you’re giving yourself regarding your image is positive and good. If you are affirming in the morning, “I have my perfect husband” but five hours later are saying “I am never going to have him”, you’re sabotaging the good work you were doing earlier. Stay the course. Say you will have him, he is coming, and he is on his way!
Here are the steps again to forming a new concept 1. Form a new image of what you would like 2. Concentrate on that image for at least 33 seconds a day 3. Reinforce that image with positive affirmations and self-talk 4. Take positive action on that image
There’s one other thing I would like to add. When you form a strong concept, you’ll no longer need to worry about motivation or inspiration for it. It will have become so transfixed in your mind that it will literally be a part of you. Seeing its manifestation will become as natural as anything else you do. This is the secret for anyone who wants to get into shape or make any other type of positive change to their life. Simply form a strong image of what you want, concentrate and reinforce it until it becomes accepted by your subconscious, and watch it come into your life.
Acting As If
One of the most powerful things you can do to impregnate your subconscious with your new concepts is to begin acting as if your ideal reality were happening right now. Let’s say for instance you wanted to be successful with women. How would your ideal you, look, think, talk, and act? Start doing that NOW! You could go to a salon and get a nice haircut, go to a clothing store and get nice clothes, go to your library or Barnes and Noble and get books on pick-up and seduction, and much more. You could even start by simply walking tall, feeling good, and smiling at every woman you meet.
When you begin acting as if, you are doing two things; 1) On a vibratory level, you are putting yourself into a vibration to attract people, things, situations, and events that match up with your ideal life. 2) You’re sending positive images and messages to your subconscious which in turn will go about manifesting these things in your life and 3) You’re going to be feeling a whole lot better as you are living in harmony with your higher/ideal life. Old Beliefs
Many of the concepts we have in our mind were given to us as kids. It’s been said that when you are born, until around the age of eight, your conscious mind is not yet fully developed so any input that is received goes straight into your subconscious. This would be okay if we lived in a perfect world, with perfect parents, teachers, people, and environments, however for most of us, we were told or shown certain ideas about life that may not be serving us well today.
It’s important to go back into your subconscious to replace any negative concepts you have with new positive ones. Now how do you do that? There’s a bunch of different ways. The easiest method, and one that was prescribed by Dr. Thurman Fleet of the Concept-Therapy Institute, is to lay or sit down in a comfortable position, relax, and allow your mind to drift through your past and see what events keep coming up. The purpose isn’t to revisit them and get yourself riled up again. It’s simply to see how they are affecting you now and to replace any limiting beliefs with new positive ones. Once a specific image pops up, you are to say “That was me then. I take 100% responsibility for that. I am no longer that person. “When I say ”I take 100% responsibility”, I mean I take 100% responsibility for how I felt at that time. I am then going to release these emotions so they will no longer affect me. I then replace that negative image with something more positive such as “I am strong”, “I am confident”, or I simply replace that image with a new one of how I would have liked everything to go. As I mentioned earlier, your subconscious cannot tell the difference between what’s real and what’s false. Sometimes by simply visualizing this positive event, it puts to rest or heals that old subconscious negative one. By doing this exercise, you are literally ridding yourself of old negative concepts and replacing them with new positive ones.
So there you have it. For anyone out there looking for the Holy Grail, or the secret to success, happiness, and wealth, there it is. It’s so simple, and once you understand and apply it, you can and will become a master of your life.
