Rules of the Game

I was listening to a CD yesterday by Abraham Hicks and one of the topics it covered was how so many people are going through life without really knowing the “rules of the game.” Many of us are brought into this world without unfortunately being taught exactly how it operates. Universal laws such as the law of attraction, rhythm, polarity, etc… are things that are either completely ignored or dismissed as fantasy by some.

I believe that one of the best things that one can do is to learn the “rules of the game.” Find out how this universe works and how you are operating in it. Take an active approach in your self-improvement and spirituality. Read, listen to audio CDs, watch some good videos, go on blogs that cover self-development, surround yourself with like-minded people, attend seminars and lectures by teachers you like.

Here are some easy ways to learn the “rules of the game”:

1. Set aside a daily time for study. Even fifteen minutes a day can be enough. As you begin to learn and apply what you learn, your life, health, and relationships should improve. Think of it as getting yourself mentally and spiritually in shape.

2. Set aside 10% of your income for the sole-purpose of educating yourself. Every week you can purchase one new book, audio CD, or video that will assist you in your growth. I like to purchase one new audio CD or audio set each week and listen to it while I drive.

3. Attend some kind of study group. The energy at these groups can be great and it’s an easy way to learn a lot. I would recommend a Rays of the Dawn Study Group if there happens to be one in your area. These weekly meetings had a great effect on me and really helped to accelerate my spiritual growth.
