There are two main points to this law.
1. Everything in the universe is constantly moving and changing.
2. For any amount of energy that is put out, a like amount must be taken on.
As noted above, this law states that everything in the universe is constantly moving and changing. Nothing stands still. Even your body, while appearing solid, is changing at the rate of something like millions of cells per second.
“This laws explains the truth that everything in the material universe is simply a manifestation of Energy (God). What we know as the material universe, matter, life, or energy, together with what we see, hear, smell, taste, feel and our emotions and thoughts are nothing more nor less than the manifestations of different expressions of Energy (God). The universe as a whole, and in its parts, has its existence in an ocean of motion. Motion is the only manifestation of Energy (God). Change is its only attribute, and because of it comes all that is apparent to our material senses.”
There are two main types of energy; potential and kinetic. A rock on the edge of a cliff would possess potential energy. If I were to kick it off the cliff, it would have kinetic energy while descending. Upon hitting the ground and stopping, the rock would possess potential energy again. I’ll explain why this is important in a second.
The next main point to this law is that for any amount of energy one puts out, a like amount must be taken on. This is SO important that I am going to say it again. For any amount of energy one puts out, A LIKE AMOUNT MUST BE TAKEN ON. Jesus, the great teacher, said, “As you sow, so shall you reap.” So I ask you, what are you sowing (through your thoughts and actions) into life? Are you putting out anger? Hate? Frustration? Depression? Or are you sowing happiness, joy, love and goodwill? Remember, for any amount of energy that is put out, a like amount must be taken on.
Begin now to make the conscious choice to put forth only positive energy. It might be hard at times however it IS worth the effort. As your thoughts and actions become purer and purer, all of this good energy you are putting forth will come back to you.
I now want to go back to the two main types of energy; potential and kinetic and explain why they’re important. “This law, the Law of the Perpetual Transmission or Transmutation of Energy, may be used to solve many of our problems. For instance, those engaged in healing work should have a storehouse of potential energy which may be transferred into positive healing thought. This, in turn, is conveyed to a person, who being ill and having exhausted most of his potential energy, will receive it, take it on, and due to the increased energy he has received his system is invigorated and benefited in every way. In analogous manner a weak battery having very little energy, is hooked up with a battery that has a great amount, and the transmission of energy from the strong potential to the weak recharges the battery and enables it to do its work. Similarly, we can apply the energy of positive, constructive thought to our problems and thereby change our attitude from pessimism to optimism.”
Use this law to the benefit of yourself and others. For instance, if you have a friend, patient, or child who is feeling down, you can send them potential positive energy through your thoughts and actions. This will usually be enough to perk them up and get them back on a positive track. Also, as you just put forth this good energy, a like amount must come back to you. There’s a saying “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” As you now know how this law operates, you’ll understand the truth inherent in that statement. Speaking of giving, let’s say I decide to do a good deed for one of my friends. Under the one great law Energy Is or God Is, as there is only one Life/God/Universe/Energy, that friend that I did the favor for might not reciprocate in kind however somehow else might do something good for me. It’s a fact that whatever you put into life comes back to you.
